The Chiefs beat the Patriots 27-17 in Gillette Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs snap their 2 game losing skid with a 27-17 over the New England Patriots.

The Pats started with the ball and quickly went 3 and out. The next drives by each team ended with missed field goals. The Chiefs would then explode with a 4 play TD drive which was helped out by a 48 yard screen pass from Mahomes to Edwards-Helaire. The touchdown would occur when Jerick McKinnon threw a shovel pass to Rashee Rice. This TD set the Chiefs franchise record for receiving touchdowns by a rookie. The next couple drives would end with a punt from each team before the Pats found the end zone to tie the game at 7. The next KC drive would end in a pick after Blake Bell had the ball ripped from his hands but the Chiefs’ D would stiffen and force a field goal. The Chiefs offense would get going again with an 11 play, 75 yard TD drive which was capped off with a Mahomes TD pass to Jerick McKinnon. The score going into half would be 14-10 with the Chiefs leading.

The Chiefs would receive the 2nd half kickoff and drive down but would stall and be forced to settle for a field goal. The very first play on the Patriots next drive would result in Bailey Zappe being picked off by Willie Gay which set up the chiefs in a goal-to-goal situation. 2 plays later the Chiefs would find the end zone yet again thanks to a fantastic catch by Clyde Edwards-Helaire. NE would be forced to punt and KC would drive down but would be forced to kick a field goal making the lead 27-10. In the 4th quarter Mahomes would be picked again thanks to a perfect pass to Kadarius Toney that would bounce off his hands into the defenders. The Patriots would take advantage with another touchdown. This would be all the scoring that would occur. And the Chiefs snap their 2 game losing streak with a 27-17 win over the Patriots.
