On Sunday in Sofi stadium we had a matchup between the NFC’s Rams against the AFC’s Browns. Joe Flacco made his return Sunday and played an overall solid game against the sturdy Rams Defense.
To start the game the Browns matriculated the ball down the field. Short passes, down-your-throat runs, and struck when the defenses were down. Joe Flacco found a wide-open Jerome Ford for a 24-yard touchdown pass.
On the ensuing Rams drive they were able to hit Puka for some big gains and were stopped short of the endzone. Forcing the Rams to take a 44-yard field goal by Lucas Havirisk. On the next Rams drive, the play of the day was made. Stafford hit Puka for a 70-yard touchdown. Puma caught the ball and was off to the races. The rookie phenom had a heck of a day. Towards the end of the second quarter he suffered a rib injury that sidelined him and I didn’t think I would see him again. However Puka strapped up and put on an excellent performance in the second half. He set a record for most rookie receiving yards. Puka finished the day with 4 rec, 105 yards, and a TD.
Second quarter action we had some field goal action. Both scored three points in this quarter. The Rams kicker Havirisk however missed a field goal during this quarter. At the end of two, the score was Rams: 13 Browns: 10
To start the half the Rams were forced to punt the ball to the Browns who drove the ball down the field to tie the game. Demarcus Robinson made a surprise appearance during this drive he made a few catches and scored a touchdown. He finished the day with 55 yards and a TD.
Joe Flacco and the brown boys were able to score a touchdown down seven, however the kicker Hopkins missed the PAT. From this point on the Browns fell apart. The Rams scored a touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp and then down eight points, the old man Joe threw an atrocious pick to John Johnson III who returned it to the Browns own 30. Kyren Williams banged one on for his coach McVay’s fantasy team. Then to top it all off, Aaron Donald got a safety on Joe Flacco.
Great team win, only critique I have on the Rams is the field goal game. Which can bite you during a long run through the season.
Final Score: Browns:19 Rams:36
