Broncos make history with win over Browns

Well, folks week 12 of the NFL regular season has come to an end, and you know what else has come to an end? The Broncos being the basement dwellers in the AFC West, are our consistent misery as we watch yet another season of beatdowns. That’s right the Broncos are now 6-5 following an NFL-first 29-12 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Broncos have gone on a surprising 5 game-win streak in which the highly critiqued Russell Wilson has thrown 8 TD and 0 interceptions. I also think it’s worth noting that the same defense that gave up 70 the Dolphins have only allowed 80 points or roughly 10 points per game average. While also notching 16 takeaways in that same 5-game stretch. Maybe just Maybe the Denver Broncos have turned a new leaf.

Let’s break the game down a touch:
The first half was mostly dominated by the Broncos with both Russell and Samaje rushing for a set of touchdowns while only allowing 2 fgs from the browns.
Only 1 turnover in this half coming from Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.
First half score 14-6

In the 2nd half, we got to see things light up a bit as the browns found themselves marching back against the Broncos and eventually scoring a 3rd QTR touchdown on 4th and goal, they would attempt a 2-point conversion. Unfortunately for the Browns, the ball went right through the hands of Amari Cooper.
Later on in the 3rd QTR, the Browns would attempt to push the ball downfield but things got ugly after Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson got drilled by Baron Browning, and would leave the game with an unfortunate injury.
Things took a downward spiral after P.J. Walker took over for the now-injured DTR as the Browns would commit a series of fumbles and a safety to close out the 4th.

My thoughts on the game?
I liked what I saw from our offensive line only allowing 1 sack against an extremely talented Browns defense led by Myles Garrett.
I also enjoyed watching Russell scramble a bit and making plays.
Our defense has been fun to watch as well, they have been tough and resilient to opposing offenses.

All in all, I feel good about this team. It could be a dose of false hope, but I’ll take it. After years of miserable games, it’s nice to finally see your guys pull through and play good football. And as of now, the Broncos are in the hunt for a playoff spot for the first time in years.

Next week we face off against Future OROY CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans
