Chiefs storm back to beat the Raiders 31-17

A slow start by the Chiefs saw them down 14-0 in the 2nd quarter, but they would storm back to get the come from behind win against the Raiders.

The Raiders would receive the opening kickoff and move down the field with ease to take a 7-0. The Chiefs went 3 and out on their first drive and the Raiders again moved the ball with ease before stalling and being forced to settle for a 30 yard field goal attempt which Carlson missed. The Chiefs would once again be forced to punt which lead to another fairly ease drive for Las Vegas to put them up 14-0. One of the best defenses in the NFL started off horribly. The Chiefs would finally get some offense going with a 12 play 71 yard touchdown drive capped off by an Isiah Pacheco 1-yard TD run. The KC defense would finally stiffen and force a Raider punt. This would allow the Chiefs to go 79 yards in 8 plays for a TD to tie the game. This time it was a 3-yard TD pass from Patrick Mahomes to Justin Watson. This would be the score heading into the half.

The Chiefs would start the half with the ball needing to figure out how to score in the 2nd half because they had not scored in a second half for the last 3 games. The Chiefs would score a TD on their opening drive of the 2nd half for the first time in forever, this TD was another Pacheco 1 yard run. The teams would trade punts before the Raiders were able to move the ball again but the KC defense didn’t break and help Las Vegas to 3. The Kansas City Chiefs would respond with just a 6 play touchdown drive capped off by a Mahomes pass to Rashee Rice that he took 39 yards to the house to put KC up 28-17. Not much really happened after that score minus a KC field goal that made the score 31-17 and that would hold up and be the final.
