Oklahoma State bounces back with a win against Houston

The Cowboys bounce back after a blowout lost to UCF, and beat Houston 43-30,

The Cowboys started off slow punting, however there defense would force a turnover on down but Alan Bowman would throw a pick 6 to give Houston an early 7-0 lead. The Cowboys would tack a field goal onto the board for there first score of the game, but Houston would go down and score another TD to put them up 14-3. The Cowboys would find the end zone for the first time of the game but a bad snap lead to a blocked PAT so the score would be 14-9. The Cougars would then answer with their own touchdown to go up 21-9. The two teams would trade punts, Houston add a great punt that lead to Ollie Gordon being stopped in the end zone for a safety to make the score 23-9. Houston would get the ball and in 4 plays throw an interception give the ball back to Oklahoma State who capitalize with a touchdown. A Cougar punt led to an OSU field goal before the half to cut the lead to 23-19.

Houston would get the ball first and would forced to punt. Oklahoma State would then drive 74 yards for a touchdown thanks to an Ollie Gordon run to take their first lead of the game. The Cowboys would force another Cougar punt which also lead to an Ollie Gordon TD run. A couple punts by both teams would occur before OSU would put 3 more on the board to take a 36-23 lead. Houston would find the end zone to cut into the Cowboy lead. However, Oklahoma State would respond on their next drive with another Ollie Gordon TD run to make the lead 13 again. And that would be all the scoring. The final would be 43-30 with the Oklahoma State Cowboys coming out on top.

Who would have thought after a 2-2 start by the Cowboys they would have a solid chance to make it to the Big 12 Championship game. The path is really simply for the Cowboys to make it the championship game… just beat BYU.
