1. Philadelphia Eagles – Another week, another win. The Eagles didn’t look great but did enough to be a good Cowboys.
2. Kansas City Chiefs – While the offense is still trying to find its footing this defense is the best Pat and Andy have had. Look out if they figure out the offense.
3. Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens could be number one but their losses to Pittsburgh and Indianapolis coupled with their struggle against Arizona are puzzling. Four straight wins all by 7+ points bring them to number three.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars – What a week to have a bye. Two teams ahead of them had losses so the Jags rose to four. They are road warriors with their only losses coming at home and winning both contests in London.
5. Cincinnati Bengals – What rise. Four weeks ago the Bengals were down and out. Four straight wins, three of which were against potential playoff teams make the Bengals this week’s biggest risers.
6. Miami Dolphins – Are the Dolphins pretenders? They are a team putting it together. They’ve beaten the teams they should have and lost to teams that aren’t surprising.
7. Dallas Cowboys – Dallas lost despite Dao’s best game. The Eagles tried to give the game away, but Dallas couldn’t capitalize. They are a good team but they have some things to figure out.
8. Detroit Lions – They were on a bye. Nothing that happened this week or before their bye suggests they are any better than the teams in front of them.
9. Seattle Seahawks – A dismantling at the hands of the Ravens is becoming commonplace for second-tier NFC teams. The Seahawks aren’t a Super Bowl contender but they are a decent playoff team.
10. San Francisco 49ers – This team needed a break and got one. Let’s see how they come off the bye. Still one of the most talented teams in the NFL and they added at the deadline.
