The offense started off with the ball and dialed up a perfect play to start but then a missed time throw and rain contributed to a drop. The offense never got back on track and the rest of the game was a struggle. They finished with another abysmal performance and ten points. An injury to Kenny Pickett who was hit multiple that should have been flagged and wasn’t also didn’t help the scoring as Mitch’s “I want to throw interceptions” Trubisky came into the game and produced only a touchdown against lightened up defense up two scores. Something has to change with this offense otherwise we’ll never see what we have. Kenny may not be the man but Canada hasn’t been able to produce a positive offense game with him, Ben, Mitch, Mason, or Kenny. The Jaguars were yet another team calling out plays before they were run.
The defense suffered a loss much more significant as Minkah Fitzpatrick left the game early with a hamstring injury and unlike Pickett had been ruled out for Thursday’s game. The defense held up their end of the bargain like they always do (mostly) holding the Jags to 20 points and forcing three turnovers. They were on the field for almost 10 more minutes than the offense which isn’t atypical but is a problem for if you want to be a successful team. There is only so much TJ and the boys can withstand.
Special teams were as always special. Chris Boswell was perfect except when he got screwed on a BS penalty that turned a 55-yarder into a 61-yarder. The return units didn’t impress much but also didn’t hurt the team.
