The Panthers are no longer the only team in the NFL without a win. They defeated the Houston Texans 15-13 on Sunday.
Bryce You g looked every bit deserving of the top overall pick on Sunday behind the new play-calling of OC Thomas Brown. He played mistake-free football and finished the game 22/31 235 yards and 1 touchdown to Tommy Tremble.
The Panthers defense was able to minimize the 2nd overall pick in this past year’s draft. Stroud finished 16/24 for 140 yards and added a rushing TD. Donte Jackson was able to force a fumble for the Panthers defense that led to 3 points. The defense was led by Frankie Luvu who finished with 12 tackles 1 sack and 2 pass deflections one coming on a 2-point conversion which kept it a 1-point game late in the 4th and allowed Eddie Pineiro to kick a 23-yard field goal as time expired to give the Panthers the win.
The Panthers are back home on Sunday as they face the Colts.
