James’ What You’re Watching Weekly

Last week I started 2-0 but lost the last four bringing my season total to 21-25-2. I will push forward and get back to five hundred so follow along and bet as my lucks gotta change. Lines are provided by DraftKings.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills (-9)

The Bills have been disappointing all season. Aside from one good game against the Dolphins, and two against abysmal teams (Raiders and Commanders) they’ve looked uninspired. The Bucs offense has sputtered, scoring 19 points in two games. I think Buffalo will get back on track on a short week. Lay the nine and bet the Bills.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5)

The first quarterbacks drafted in 2021 and 2022 face off for the first time. The Steelers have found unconventional ways to win games. Steelers fans are at their wits’ ends with this coaching staff having never seen the offense gain 400+ yards with its current leader at the helm (I will not mention his name). I feel the Steelers’ defense keeps this game close and Big Ken closes out a close one. I’m taking my home dogs, Steelers +2.5.

Los Angeles Rams @ Dallas Cowboys (-6.5)

Dallas is coming off their bye while the Rams are coming off a crushing loss. This Rams team has been a real surprise. Dallas has been up and down. The Rams may lose but they’ll keep it close. Rams +6.5

Cincinnati Bengals @ San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)

The 49ers need this game as they are on a two-game skid. They’ll be without Brook facing a rested Joe Shiesty. Is Shanahan a true quarterback whisperer? What can he get out of Sam Darnold? I’ll take the Bengals and the points.

Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Chargers (-8.5)

Both teams had higher expectations than what they’ve delivered on this season. The Bears looked decent against the Raiders but who doesn’t? The Chargers held on for a half against the Chiefs. There is too much talent on this Chargers team to have a close game against the Bears. Take the Chargers and lay the points.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Detroit Lions (-8)

Both teams were embarrassed last week but one is used to it. Las Vegas having three wins has to be one of the biggest surprises in the NFL. I think Detroit blows the breaks off this one quickly. Take Detroit and give the eight.
