Phillies Notes:

Batting-Complete and utter disappointment. Nick Castellanos will get into these streaks where he is not hitting anything so I expect it out of him. Trea Turner also has not been consistent. But Bryce Harper over the last 2 games at home looked the worst I have seen of him. Brandon Marsh looked like the best batter of the last 2 games. Marsh is one of the lowest-paid players on the entire team. So frustrating. Going into next season I have no idea if there are any intentions on re-signing Rhys Hoskins but if not then we need another or first baseman depending on whether Bryce can play outfield or not. I think Johan Rojas is fantastic on defense but when it comes to batting it was nearly an automatic out every single at-bat. Marsh guaranteed either a starting spot next year or that he will be traded so he can get a big contract somewhere else.

Pitching-Not terrible. I can not fully blame the pitching for allowing 4 runs in game 7 with Ranger Suárez starting. Batting just needs to keep up.

Coaching-This series loss started after not having batting practice before game 3. It threw off all the momentum the Phillies had and they could not get back into it. Momentum is important in baseball and the coaches need to learn a lot from this.
