The Chiefs win their 6th straight!

The Chiefs extend their winning streak the 6 games with a 31-17 win over the Chargers at Arrowhead.

The Chargers received the ball first but were forced to punt. The Chiefs would drive down inside the red zone but would stall and have to settle for a field goal. The Chargers would answer with a field goal of their own and that would be all the scoring that would take place in the first quarter. The second quarter both teams exploded offensively. The Chiefs found the end zone first when Mahomes found MVS for a 46 yard touchdown. The Chargers would answer with a 49 yard touchdown run by Joshua Kelley to tie the game. The Chiefs would make quick work on their next drive by finding the end zone in just 4 plays. This TD was a 6 yard pass from Mahomes to Rashee Rice. The Chargers would once again answer with a touchdown of their own thanks to a Herbert 7 yard pass to Everett. The Chiefs next drive would end when Mahomes took a deep shot that was picked off by Asante Samuel. The Chiefs defense would hold and force a LAC punt give the Chiefs offense the opportunity to drive down before the half and score another TD, this time a 1 yard pass from Mahomes to Kelce. That would be the score at half with the Chiefs leading 24-17.

The 2nd half had very little offense. KC would fumble on their first drive of the half but Herbert would throw an interception to give the ball back to KC. But after that interception the 2 teams would combine for a total of 6 consecutive drives ending in punts. After all those punts the Chiefs would the first and only score of the second with another Mahomes touchdown pass, this time to Isiah Pacheco. Herbert would end up being picked off again this time by Bryan Cook and this would seal the Chiefs 6th straight win. The final score would be 31-17.
