Well, after starting out strong in SEC play, the Aggies dropped their second straight conference match up.
It seems to always be the same story with A&M… Bad OL play, bad QB play. Max Johnson was under pressure often and in turn, made bad decisions with the football.
Outside of their first drive of the game, the Aggie offense was non existent… Randy Bond added 2 field goals, but it just isn’t enough when you are going up against a team like Tennessee… It’s a shame, the Aggie defense (D-Line specifically) has been great outside of the Miami game.
They held the Volunteers to just 7 points in the first half and 2 field goals in the second half… The difference in the game was Tennessee’s 3rd quarter punt return for a TD. Again I say, if only they had a somewhat competent offense… This team could be an issue to play… Sadly, they don’t have the firepower… Hopefully they can keep in contention to actually make a bowl appearance this year… With a head coach under contract for $94.95M GUARANTEED, they should be winning titles… Not fighting for a meaningless bowl game.
Thankfully, A&M is on the bye this coming week. Saves me some pain.
