1. San Francisco 49ers – I know they lost but two injuries changed that game and a Jake Moody 41-yard field goal was the difference.
2. Miami Dolphins – The Dolphins went down 14 early and still covered the spread at the end of the game. They are poised to challenge for the AFC Championship
3. Kansas City Chiefs – You may not like the way they do it but the Chiefs win. Could it be a conspiracy, could the league be doing it? I doubt it. Just the world hating on the shiny thing and consistent winner.
4. Philadelphia Eagles – Philadelphia had a chance to be the last remaining unbeaten but their insistence on close games nipped them in the bud. They have the most talent in the NFL except maybe the 9ers and they need to put it together and blow the doors off teams or they could be in trouble.
5. Detroit Lions – Dan Campbell is eating all sorts of kneecaps this year. The defense continues to impress me. This team has a chance to be very successful after the showing of Jared Goff this weekend when the running game wasn’t as successful as it had been.
6. Dallas Cowboys – Dallas exercised their west coast demons with a bounce-back win against a talented Charger team.
7. Buffalo Bills – Home cooking after a trip across the pond wasn’t the answer. The Bills struggled against the Giants team that hasn’t had a close game all year except for nine minutes against the Cardinals.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars – Three straight wins for the Jags. The defense stifled an impressive running game from the Colts. The offense went for 37. This team is starting to put it together.
9. Baltimore Ravens – John Harabaugh’s squad flew across the pond and erased an embarrassing loss. They took a big lead into halftime and knocked Ryan Tannehill out of the game.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tampa held their own against a really good defense and were in the game late. Their defense was also very impressive against a very good running team in Detroit.
