The Kansas City Chiefs extended their winning streak against the Denver Broncos to 16 with a 19-8 win on Thursday Night.
The Broncos had a solid 1st drive of the game but would end up turning it over on downs after Russel Wilson was sacked on 4th and 3. The Chiefs would drive down but stall and have to kick a field goal. Wilson on the next would throw a pick and KC would get down into the red zone before Mahomes threw a pick of his own. Denver wouldn’t do anything and be forced to punt. KC would drive down to the red zone again but turn it over on downs thanks to some awful play calling. Denver would punt again and this one would finally lead to a touchdown. Patrick Mahomes found Kadarius Toney for a 3 yard touchdown. Some more punt would occur before KC would kick another field goal before the half. Butker drilled it from 60 yards out to give the Chiefs a 13-0 lead at half.
The 2nd half started with a solid drive by the Chiefs before it stalled and they were forced to kick another field goal. The next Denver drive, Wilson would be picked off for a second time but KC couldn’t do anything with it. More punts and the Denver finally found the end zone and converted the 2-pt conversion to cut the lead to 16-8. The Chiefs would then have yet another solid drive but stall again in Denver territory and have to kick another field goal. Denver would get the ball down 2 scores but would put the ball on the ground and the fumble would be recovered by Kansas City to seal the 19-8 victory.
