Well, the riding high feeling was short-lived here in Broncos country as the Jets flew out of Denver winning 31-21.
Do you know what drives me nuts? When the opposing team’s QB plays like hot garbage and you’re QB plays a clean decent game and you still find a way to get beat by 10. Zach Wilson didn’t even have a TD and had 1 pick. One of the biggest issues in this game was allowing Breece Hall to get 177 yards off 22 carries. That’s roughly 8 yards a carry…man that’s not good. The other glaring problem I have seen is the inability to keep the momentum going. If you’ve been a Broncos fan for a while now you are probably well aware of this, we go into the 2nd half with a slight lead and then we let all the momentum go and let the other team march back and beat us. The Commanders Game is a picture-perfect example of this. Also, our defense is still trash and Vance needs to go. Ready to bring back #FirevanceJoseph. It’s sad to watch a team with a top-10 defense go all the way to the bottom of the barrel in just 1 season. Offensively we weren’t the most impressive but we did an okay job, the critical mistakes we made cost us the game.
My thoughts on the game?
I’m a Broncos fan I’m used to getting hyped all season just to watch the team crash and burn. This season has been more or less the same. We fix 1 issue and we discover a lot more.
I felt like none of our WRs came to play this week. Just didn’t see much from any of them.
Jaleel McLaughlin continues to impress. He took over the reins today as Javonte Williams was held out due to the injury he suffered last week. Jaleel rushed for 68 yards and caught a few passes for 21 yards and a TD.
Ps2 got his first INT of the season this week which was awesome. He still fights to show why he’s arguably the best CB in the game right now.
Nik Bonitto got 2 more sacks which puts him at 4.5 on the season.
We are getting a lot of good results from our rookies and young players which is exactly what you want. You just need the proper coaching staff to help the rest of the team to win.
I’d like to see the coaching staff pull together and start driving this team in the right direction. I mean we have all the pieces. If you look down at the check list you can put a green check mark next to almost every box. We have a good QB, good WRs, good RBs, a good TE, good players on defense, and a HOF HC. We got it all, but the team still manages to play like we did this week.
I still don’t think we bench Russell or fire Sean neither of those fix the issues we are having. I feel like we need to find a way to light a fire in this team. And also fire Vance Joseph. Tbh that would make a huge difference. Idk all in all we have a good team we just need them to play up to their capabilities.
Next week we face off against the Chiefs who aren’t playing up to their regular standards. I’m not expecting a win but more hoping they don’t break the regular season points record on us.
