Oh what could’ve been (and honestly should’ve been) for the Aggies. In a highly anticipated SEC South matchup, Texas A&M played host the the #11 Alabama Crimson Tide. The Aggies defense was dominate in the first half, raking up 4 sacks and holding Bama to negative rushing yards. But they still went into the half up 17-10… Coming into the game, every team who held the lead at the half in this rivalry has gone on to win the game… Well, Alabama was able to adjust at the half (while A&M did not) and they were able to slow down the Aggie pass rush and were able to move the ball.
Texas A&M forced 2 turnovers in the second half, but both times, the Aggie offense squandered those opportunities.
This team has a championship caliber defense, but this team is held back by the quarterback play and offensive line. They now sit at 4-2 and hit the road next week to take on the Tennessee Volunteers, which will be no easy task. Hopefully we get a better version of Max Johnson next week 🤞🏼
