Rams fight off Anthony Richardson and the Colt’s comeback

In the early window on Sunday, we had the 1-2 Rams face off against the 2-1 Colts.

To start the game off the Rams looked dominant, Puka and Van Jefferson made some great catches to set Kyren Williams up for a 3-yard TD run. On the Colts first drive, they weren’t able to put much together forcing a punt to the Rams own 6-yard line. Another long Rams drive ensued. Coincidentally this led to another 3-yard TD run by Kyren Williams with 3:40 left in the first quarter.

What follows is an Anthony Richard fumble and then 3 field goals by Brett Maher, the Rams lead 23-0 with 7:17 left in the 3rd quarter.

Just when you would assume it was over the Colts never gave up. With 5:26 left in the 3rd quarter, Mo Alie-Cox had an angry catch and run for the 35-yard touchdown. On the very next drive, Matthew Stafford threw an interception. This was the point of the game where I started to sweat.

In the 4th quarter, Anthony Richardson ran around and made play after play, looking like a young Cam Newton out there, except he was accurate too. With two touchdown passes, the game was tied at 23 and we went to OT.

With the game on the line, Ben Skowronek made the decision of his life and chose tails. The rest was then history. Puka Nacua, Puka Nacua, Puka Nacua. With the game on the line, Matthew Stafford walking around like he just broke a hip found Nacua for the dagger. A 22-yard TD pass to seal the game. This was Puka’s first TD pass (which he then launched the ball into the stands)

What a historic start for my man Puka.

Final score: Rams 29 Colts 23

The last time the Colts beat the Rams the #1 song was Down by Jay Sean. That is all.

See you next week Eagles
