James’ What You’re Watching Weekly

Well, Vegas sure takes a lot out of you. My weekly picks are going to look a little different as I recover and if I like it it might be permanent. I’ll pick tonight’s game today and get the weekends up sometime before Sunday. Last week no thanks to Jordan’s teams again I finished 4-3 and have risen to 9-11-1 on the season. On to Thursday’s game. Detroit heads to Green Bay with both teams coming off wins. Detroit beat the Falcons who dropped the Packers late a week ago. Green Bay scored 18 in the fourth to overcome the New Orleans Saints. The Packers seem to not miss Aaron too much. Their defense is still very talented. I see them putting a lid on the Lions’ offense and keeping this game close. Home dogs are a good bet anytime and this game is no different. Take the Packers +1.5.

Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

Both teams are coming off bad losses. One team (Jacksonville)looked good in the losses and failed to execute when they needed to, the other (Atlanta) just looked inept for the first time this season but maybe Detroit’s defense is that good as evidenced Thursday. I believe the young Jags figure out their ineptitudes and win by a touchdown in their home away from home.

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (-2.5)

Could this be the game of the year? How do the Dolphins follow up 70? Terron Armstead might play for the first time all year. Tua and Allen faced off twice last year and split the series both by less than three. I doubt the Phins get close to 70 again but the game will be close and the three points are all I need to Miami +2.5

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles (-9.5)

Is the Sam Howell experiment over in Washington? It shouldn’t have even started in my opinion. He hasn’t looked exceptionally impressive in their two wins and looked inept versus the Bills. The offensive line might be the issue as he’s been sacked 19 times in three games. That doesn’t bode well against probably the best defensive line in the league. The Eagles looked very well last Monday and seem to be putting it together. I see a couple of touchdown win for the Eagles at home.

New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys (-6)

The Cowboys looked like the best team in the NFL during the first two weeks. They then shit the bed against a team in Arizona that doesn’t seem to be trying. Typical Dallas Cowboys football so they should be set for a turnaround but the Patriots have two losses by less than a touchdown. I think the Cowboys get a touchdown win here at home.

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets (+9.5)

Woof, this Jets schedule is beginning to look like the Broncos of last year. A lot of promising prime-time games that are going to under-deliver. Robert Salah’s insistence to stick with Zach Wilson is sickening. Take the Chiefs take the points and take your wife out to dinner this game will not be entertaining.

Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants (+2)

Take away the second half of the Cardinals game and the Giants have been outscored 90-12. A playoff team last season they have looked flat. Seattle has had some tough games against tough opponents. The Seahawks win this game and I feel like they cover the 2 points as well.
