James’ What You’re Watching Weekly

With all due respect to our page owner screw the Saints and Eagles. Had either team kept their foot on the gas my week would have been 4-3 but both got conservative knocking me down to 2-4-1. That brings my season to 5-8-1. On to the picks.

New York Giants @ San Francisco 49ers (-10.5)

The Giants lost 40-0 and were down 20 to the Arizona Cardinals needing a rally to not be embarrassed against a team that isn’t trying. On the flip side the the 49ers are the real deal 10 seems like a lot this game will be over by the end of the 1st quarter.

New England Patriots @ New York Jets (+2.5)

Yuck 🤢 Both defenses are very good. Both offenses are very bad. No one wins (definitely not the public) by more than three. Take the Jets getting the points.

New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers (-2)

The Saints are 2-0 after Monday night’s win. They travel to Green Bay on a short week. The Packers are coming off a tough loss in Atlanta. A defensive battle comes down to the end and the Packers win by a field goal.

Chicago Bears @ Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)

The Bears have not locked well so far, the defense or Justin Fields. Defensive they’ve given up an average of 32.5 points and lost by double digits in both games versus Jordan Love in his first start and Baker Mayfield. Patrick Mahomes has Travis Kelce back for the second week in a row. The Chiefs cover easily.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Las Vegas Raiders (-2.5)

My squad is a dog for the third week in a row and I don’t blame Vegas. Our win was fueled by two defensive touchdowns while the offense continued to struggle outside of a handful of plays. After our week one loss Tomlin cryptically criticized Pressley Harvin who had a phenomenal week two performance. This week he had some cryptic words for offensive coaching. I see the defense having another great game and the offense improving. I can’t beat against my squad.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5)

The Eagles have won both games as have the Buccaneers, one was a given the other a surprise. The Eagles are still working out a new coaching staff and using their talent to get by. Once they figure it out they’ll be super dangerous. Imma put the win in the Eagles column but the cover for the Buccaneers.

Los Angeles Rams @ Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5)

The Bengals haven’t looked very good in their first two games. They started to wake up late versus the Ravens. This week’s Super Bowl rematch will go the opposite of their game in Los Angeles two years ago. Take the Bengals and the 2.5
