Despite loss, Rams are to be reckoned with

This week two matchup between the NFC favorite 49ers and their in-division rival Rams started with low expectations for this Rams team. The second youngest team, only behind the Green Bay Packers put on a show at home.

To start the game Brock Purdy and the 49ers drove down the field and capped it off with a 14-yard run by Christian McCaffery.

To start the second quarter the score was 49ers:7 Rams: three. This quarter we really saw this young Rams team begin to shine. Kyren Williams lit up the scoreboard this half scoring two touchdowns, one by land and one by air. The Rams even managed to take the league right before half only for it to be ruined by a Brock Purdy QB sneak in the endzone right before the half. Making the game 17-17

The 49ers scored 10 consecutive points to begin the 2nd half. This includes a Deebo Samuel 11-yard TD pass off a screen. And just when you thought there was a chance, down 27-20 with the ball Matthew Stafford threw an interception… To finish the game off we had an interesting decision to kick a field goal so they only lost by 7.

History was made in this game, Puca Nacua set the record for most receptions in a game by a rookie with 15 catches. I am proud of this young Rams team. I am excited to see what they bring next week against the Bengals.

The final score of this one Rams:23, 49ers:30
