The Kansas City Chiefs defense was a huge part in their win Sunday in Jacksonville. The Chiefs defense kept Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars out of the end-zone.
The game would start with 5 punts combine from both teams, 2 by the Jags and 3 by the Chiefs. The Jaguars would finally get on the board on their 3rd drive when they kicked a field goal to go up 3-0. This would be the score until the Chiefs found the end zone, thanks to a 9-yard TD pass from Mahomes to Moore with 27 seconds. The Jags would find a way to get another FG before the end of the half. So the score at half was 7-6 with KC out in front.
The Chiefs would receive the ball to start the second half and drive down and find the end zone. This was thanks to a Mahomes 9-yard TD pass to Kelce. This was Travis’ first TD of the season. Each team would punt on their next 2 drives and then the Jags were able to drive down to the KC 1-yard line before being forced to settle for a FG. The Chiefs would answer with a field goal of their own to take a 17-9 lead in the 4th. The Jaguars next drive would end on a turnover on downs and the Chiefs were able to kill the remaining clock to get a 17-9 win in Jacksonville.
