This is a big spread for the two best NFC teams from last season. Both played lackluster games last week. The Vikings could be on the decline. Hammer the Eagles as prime-time Kirk rolls into town
Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars +3.5
Can the Jags drop the Chiefs to 0-2? I don’t feel confident in answering either way. What I do feel confident in is a big-time shoot-out that’s close. Take the home dog.
Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons +1
Green Bay is the easy bet here. They are the better team. Atlanta beat the lowly Panthers who are in the early stages of a rebuild. The Packers on the other hand took down the Bears in the come-up. Green Bay’s defense is still good and Love showed enough competence to make this easy money. Green Bay giving 1 is too hard to pass up.
New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys -9.5
What did Aaron Rodgers teach Zach Wilson in the off-season? Is it enough to finally lead this team? The defense is good enough. The skill positions are good enough. Is Zach Wilson? We will see against a top defense. I think all phases of the game are covered enough that Zach can cover 9.5.
Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots +3
Last week these two teams played games and showcased their strengths, one won the other lost. I don’t think New England can slow the Dolphins down or keep up offensively. Dolphins giving three is the bet.
New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers +3
Not sure how this game made it to Monday night but here we are. Neither team looked impressive last week but the Saints are the better team. The Saints should beat the rebuilding Panthers by 3.
Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers +2
The two teams that had high hopes this season had two very different results last week. However when it comes to this rivalry history generally doesn’t matter (unless Big Ben is under center). Even down two stars, I can’t bet against the Steelers. I’m taking the points and my squad.
