Just as everyone predicted, the Rams beat Seattle

To kick off the 2023 regular season the Rams headed to Seattle to play their division rival the Seahawks. To set the stage everyone and their mother predicted the Seahawks would compete for the division and the Rams would be tanking for Caleb Williams.

The first quarter started with a strong offensive drive by Seattle, they capped this drive off with a 36-yard field goal by Myers. To end the first quarter Matthew Stafford got his groove back and drove the Rams down the field and Kyren Williams punched it in for the 1-yard touchdown with 39 seconds left in the first quarter.

Entering the 2nd quarter the Rams lead by four. This would be the last quarter we would see any kind of pulse in Seattle’s offense. Seattle would go on to score ten points. A ten-yard touchdown from DK Metcalf and a 42-yard field goal by Myers with 4:18 left in the half.

In the second half, the Rams rose from the dead and butchered the Seahawks on offense and defense.

In the second half, the Rams held the Seahawks to 12 total yards, nine of which came on the last play of the game. We start the half off with a 7-yard TD run by Williams again followed by a 38-yard field goal by Maher. To start the fourth quarter Cam Akers punched the ball in for a one-yard TD. Brett Maher punched in field goals from 54 and 45 yards. It was an absolute drubbing in Seattle.

As a Rams fan, this game was beautiful to watch. Matthew Stafford looked better than I’ve ever seen him as a Ram. The Rams rookie Nacua balled out along with Tutu Atwell who I’ve been waiting to shine for a couple of years. Hearing Geno yell “Oh my god” with Aaron Donald barreling at him was the pièce de résistance. D.K.’s dirty hit should get him fined, there is never a need to be so salty that you go and injure your opponent. People hyped up the Seahawks all offseason just to blow this game. I love it.
