To start the game the Eagles’ off-season had a misstep when Hurts had a mishandled snap. But Detrich Wise lined up in the neutral zone and it nullified the Eagles’ loss giving them a first down.
Afterward, the Eagles had a few plays to Gainwell who had 6 rushes for 29 yards and 2 receptions for 14 on this opening drive. The Patriots forced a 3rd and 11 but Jalen Hurts then had a 14-yard rush on a QB draw. The Patriots forced a 3rd and goal and Matt Judon got his first sack of the season to force a 32-yard field goal by Elliott. Eagles lead 3-0
The Patriots off-season has a few good plays to start then Mac had a high pass to go off Bourne’s hands to Slay for a 74-yard pick-six. Eagles lead 10-0
The Patriots came back out and Ezekiel fumbled the ball recovered by the Eagles forces by Jalen Carter.

The next two possessions go for back-to-back punts to close out the 1st quarter Eagles leading 16-0
After 6 punts, the Patriots end the cold streak on offense. Mac has 7 completions for 67 yards and a TD to Hunter Henry. Patriots cut the lead down to 9. Eagles lead 16-7
The Patriots forced another punt and then went down 63 yards on 6 plays to score. Mac had 5 completions for 50 yards and a 19-yard TD to Kendrick Bourne. Patriots cut the lead to 2. 16-14.
The Eagles received the kickoff with 25 seconds left in the half, they ran the ball and took it to halftime. Eagles lead at half 16-14.
The Patriots come out and are forced to a 3 and out by the Eagles after Boutte couldn’t stay in bounds on a Mac Jones pass.
After the Patriots punted, the Eagles had a 10-play drive, kicking a field goal to score their first points since the pick-six. Eagles lead 19-14
After the field goal the Eagles forced a punt they kicked another field goal. Eagles lead 22-14
After a turnover on downs, the Eagles drive again and get a field goal making it 25-14 Eagles
But then the Patriots came out swinging with a 6-play drive for 75 yards, capped off with an 11-yard Bourne TD grab.
The next four drives were the most drama the game had, After the Eagles fumbled on a QB draw, the Patriots had a turnover on downs, the Eagles had a turnover on downs, and then Boutte couldn’t keep his feet in bounds to have the third turnover on downs in a row and the Eagles were able to knee it to the end.
