Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5)
Detroit is this year’s darlings. Everyone’s sleeper pick. Dan Campbell has them on track. Kansas City could be without Chandler Jones and Travis Kelce. The Lions will be good but I don’t see them winning or covering. Take the Chiefs and the points.
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns (+2.5)
Joe Burrow just said he’s ready. Deshaun Watson half season of rust recovery is over. Will he be the answer or has he lost too much time? This is a tough game to handicap but I think the Bengals win by a field goal.
San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers (+2)
The Steelers haven’t opened the season at home in eight years. This game will feature the last two DPOYs as news just broke that Joey Bosa has agreed to a new deal. On the other side of the ball two second-year QBs look to lead an offense loaded with talent back to the promise land. This game will be tight so take the Steelers and the two-point boost. I’d take the money line for some extra juice if Wisconsin allowed betting.
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots (+4)
Another home dog which you should generally ride hard but these two teams aren’t evenly matched. Mac Jones isn’t the answer and this Philly defense is going to eat him for an early dinner. I see Jalen Hulu Has Live Sports and the Eagles winning by at least a touchdown.
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (-1)
Bears owner Aaron Rodgers has left town, did he leave Jordan Love the deed? I doubt it. The Bears were bad while looking good last year with an exciting young quarterback. They’ve brought in some weapons for him to use and they have an off-season together. The Bears take this by a field goal.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants (+3)
Overachievers last season I see the Giants regressing. It’s not the postseason so the Cowboys will not collapse. Betting against another home dog isn’t something I like to do too often but I’ve got the Cowboys by six at least.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (+2.5)
The Jets had the Bills number with CFL quarterbacks last year. Diggs and Allen don’t seem to be on the same page. Aaron Rodgers looks excited to play football. The Jets could win but will cover for sure.
