Patriots 53-man Roster

The Patriots released the 53-man roster yesterday, and there was one big surprise that got resolved the next day. To my surprise the Patriots cut all 3 backup QBs, leaving Mac Jones as the lone QB on the roster. Roughly 24 hours later, Bailey Zappe and Malik Cunningham were both signed into the practice squad after clearing waivers.

Overall, I think this roster could make playoffs if it weren’t for the fact that the Patriots have the toughest schedule in the NFL. My prediction is for the Patriots to be 6-11 unless injuries to other teams help them win more games.

The 53-man Roster is as follows;

QB (1): Mac Jones
RB (2): Rhamondre Stevenson, Ezekiel Elliott
WR (6): JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, Tyquan Thornton, Demario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte
TE (2): Hunter Henry, Mike Gesicki
OL (11): Trent Brown, Mike Onwenu, Cole Strange, David Andrews, Riley Reiff, Calvin Anderson, Jake Andrews, Sidy Sow, Atonio Mafi, Tyrone Wheatley Jr., Vederian Lowe

DL (7): Davon Godchaux, Deatrich Wise, Lawrence Guy, Christian Barmore, Daniel Ekuale, Keion White, Sam Roberts
EDGE (3): Matthew Judon, Josh Uche, Anfernee Jennings
ILB (5): Ja’Whaun Bentley, Jahlani Tavai, Mack Wilson, Marte Mapu, Chris Board
