In preseason game #2 we had the LA Rams face off against the LV Raiders. To begin the game Jimmy G and the Raiders drove down the field and capped it off with a Brandon Bolden TD run. Jimmy G left the game going 4/4 for 39 yards. Toward the end of the first quarter, the Rams gave up another large punt return. This is concerning considering how bad the punt team looked last week.
In the second quarter, Bennett started to cook, driving the Rams down the field for a field goal. On the very next drive, Jake Hummel made a beautiful interception taking it to the house and tying the game 10-10. This was then followed by a Bennett pick-six. Brian Hoyer had a decent showing in the first half, going 12/22 and 144 yards.
Not a ton of action in the 3rd quarter. Stetson drove down the field and with just under two minutes to go he runs in into the endzone cutting into the Raiders lead. Bennett finished the game 15/24, 142 yards, 1 rushing TD, and one int.
In the fourth quarter, Rypien went 4/4 for a whopping 14 yards. The Rams proceeded to punt and gave up another large chunk play on special teams. The final score to this one was Raiders 34, Rams 17.
