The Royals and Cardinals split their 2 game series with the Royals taking game 1 and the Cardinals taking game 2.
The Royals pitching was phenomenal in both games despite losing in game 2. However in game 1 the Royals took a combined perfect game into the 8th before the Cards rattled off 2 hits but that would be all they would get.
