What a series win for the Bombers! Coming off (what some will say) a disappointing series split with Tampa Bay, the Yankees needed a big statement series win and boy did they get it here. Timely hitting and good pitching was exactly what the doctor ordered for this squad, and they will look to continue this newly found momentum into Cincinnati this weekend when they face off with the Reds.
The series MVP was no doubt Aaron Judge. He went 6 for 14, with 4 home runs, 7 RBI’s and 5 walks.
The series LOSER is Domingo German. He was ejected in Game 2 for illegal substance on his hand and issued a 10-game suspension from MLB. This is the 2nd time he has been suspended by the MLB (first time was for a domestic issue). The Yankees need to cut their losses with this guy and move on.
