Matt Judon may have disappeared again this season but his start is too good to pass him up as I name him the Patriots’ Defensive Player of the Year.
Judon had a great season once again up until week 12. He was on pace to break the Patriots’ sack record set by Andre Tippett of 18.5 sacks in 1984. He fell 3.5 sacks short of breaking it.
Judon now has proven he is the heart and soul of this Patriots’ defense and I truly think that Josh Uche’s improvement comes from this. In a lackluster year for the Patriots Judon was a bright spot.
