2/13 vs Florida 26-22-6 Loss 2-1 in a shootout
The offense has struggled to get going lately and this is no different in the 2-1 loss in a shootout. Gustavsson stopped 33 of 34 and has been the hot goalie of late. I still believe he should be the number 1 goalie for the Wild. Kirill scored for the Minnesota Wild. The Wild need to figure out the offense and how to put the puck in the net.
2/15 vs Colorado 27-19-4 Loss 3-2
The offense did a little better tonight scoring twice, but the Wild still lost 3-2. Fleury started in the net and stopped 16 of 19 shots. Kirill scored again along with JEEK. The Wild have struggled since the end of their hot streak. The offense isn’t doing anything the defense isn’t doing anything. I feel like Dean is going to be used as a scapegoat until our salary cap problems are over. I do think this team has outperformed themselves so far this season. I think they can make the playoffs but they need to play better as a whole.
2/17 vs Dallas 30-14-10 Win 2-1 in a shootout
The Wild did just enough to get the victory tonight as they won 2-1 in a shootout. Mats Zuccarello scored his 20th goal of the season. Gustavsson stopped 29 of 30 and won his 13th game of the season. In 3 of his last 4, he has allowed 1 or fewer goals. The offense still needs to figure it out and score more, but if Gustavsson stays being the starter I think we are in a good position for the rest of the season.
