📸 Calgary Flames
Coming off of the All Star break, the Sabres had only a single game this week when they hosted the Calgary Flames.
The game started out perfectly for Buffalo as they jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after the first period (Tage Thompson & Casey Middlestadt).
Things quickly got out of hands as Calgary put up 7 unanswered goals (4 in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd) as they left Buffalo with an impressive win.
For Buffalo, they have fallen to 5 points back of a wild card playoff spot and have also dropped 3 straight games.
The Sabres will hit the road and head out west for a 3 game stretch in California against the Kings, Ducks & Sharks.
Can Buffalo get back on track and regain ground in their hunt for a playoff spot? We’ll find out.
