Dec 13 game recap:
The Pelicans did a 7-0 run, then Lauri finally made a 3 to stop the run, They were able to make stops and Lauri made a dunk plus a foul and made the free throw. The Pelicans then made some shots, the Jazz didn’t let the pelicans lead by much but couldn’t make the threes, but they were able to get foul calls! The Jazz ended the quarter 29-30, they started to be able to make stops and shoot the ball! The Jazz couldn’t stop Zion in the 2nd quarter, but they were able to make stops against other players and make baskets! The Jazz tied the game with 7:31 left of the first half 38-38, Malik is doing good shooting threes! The Jazz was able to make stops against Pelicans, they were able to shoot the three to take the lead and keep the lead in the 2nd quarter. The Jazz take the lead and kept it to end the quarter/half 52-45!
Second half recap:
The Jazz did well starting the 2nd half, they did good at defending and shooting the ball, Jarred did make a Circus shot plus a foul and made the free throw! The Jazz kept the lead so far in the 2nd half with a 7-0 run by making stops, and making plays as well, Walker was able to block Zion and block other shots as well! They did great defending in the 2nd half and still kept the lead Jordan made a long buzzer-beater 3 to end the 3rd quarter 91-71! The Jazz started the 4th not doing so great, but Walker kept blocking/defending the paint, they also cause turnovers and started doing better at shooting the ball as well! The Utah Jazz won this game and end the 7 winning streak by the Pelicans 121-100, they will see the pelicans again on Dec 15!
Dec 15 game recap:
The Jazz started the game doing well defending and shifting the ball, they also were able to rebound the ball. The Jazz then let the pelicans get closer, but Malik Beasley did hit 2 back to back three-pointers, they also are doing well at getting fouled and making the free throws! The Jazz ended this quarter with Jordan Clarkson doing a career-high in points in 1 quarter with 17 points, the Jazz is leading 27-25! The Jazz started the 2nd quarter shooting well and defending, then the Jazz didn’t defend and let the Pelicans shoot but the Jazz was able to stay ahead still in the first half! The Jazz did let the pelicans take the lead with the Pelicans run, the Jazz was trying to take the lead back with the threes made! The Jazz put in an 8-1 run but couldn’t take the lead back from the pelicans in the 2nd quarter 58-62!
Second half recap:
The Jazz started this 2nd half not doing so well, they couldn’t make stops and let the Pelicans go on a run! The Jazz started making stops/defending the pelicans and making the shots, they were behind by 13 and cut it down to 2 points with 2:34 left if the 3rd quarter, they got the fans going! The Jazz takes the lead back with 1:25 left of the 3rd quarter with defense and offense, 91-90. The Jazz lost the lead again after the pelicans’ timeout, the Jazz was behind 91-95. The Jazz started the 4th quarter a little slow, but they couldn’t take the lead back with 9:26 left of the 4th! They also are getting to the free throw line by getting fouled so far in this game as well. The Jazz was able to defend and make shots to tie the game at 7:30 102-102, Alexander then take a three and take the lead back to 105-102 with 6:44 left of the game! The Jazz Lauri hit a clutch three with 22.5 seconds left of the game to take the lead 121-118, Pelicans called timeout! The pelicans made a clutch three as well to tie the game with 2 seconds left, Will Hardy called timeout, and the Jazz went overtime 123-123!
Overtime recap:
The Jazz takes 1 min to score they take the lead 125-123, they did well causing turnovers and getting foul calls! They also did good defending the pelicans at the beginning of overtime, Jazz did win the challenge and Walker did stay on the floor with 5 fouls. The Jazz did well-making stops, they also were able to shoot threes, the Jazz is now 3-0 wins in overtime games, the Jazz won 132-129 against the Jazz sweep the pelicans and win 3-0 pelicans!
Dec 17 game recap:
Utah Jazz started the quarter able to defend and make shots, they also were able to cause turnovers early on. They then didn’t defend and let the bucks get ahead and lose the lead! The Jazz let the bucks go on a run, the Jazz then called timeout with 6:32 left of the first quarter. Jazz after the timeout, Vanderbilt blocked a shot and now they tied the game 16-16 with 4:47 left of the first quarter, the Jazz was able to shoot better and defend after this time out! But the Jazz still couldn’t take the lead yet, the Jazz did make substitutions to the game and Put Kessler in! The Jazz then takes the lead finally with Alexander the pointer with 3:22 left of the first, 19-18. The Jazz then lost the lead after the bucks’ timeout the ended the quarter with 22-27! The Jazz started the 2nd quarter not able to rebound or defend the bucks, but they were able to shoot the three. The Jazz did the good shooting but they just couldn’t make stops so far in the 2nd quarter to take the lead! The Jazz was able to cut down the lead in the 2nd quarter, they were also able to start making stops and making plays! The Jazz was able to tie the game again by defending and making threes 42-42 with 6:12 left of the first half! The Jazz ended the half being behind 47-56!
Second half recap:
The Jazz started this quarter not doing well defending, and shooting, they then defended better and were able to shoot the three to cut down the lead from bucks! The Jazz couldn’t take the lead ending the quarter being behind 83-92! The Jazz did lose the game 97-123!
