This is the point in the season where the Knicks give us hope! 16-13 After this last sprint of 3 games this past week. The knicks played against the Kings, and Bulls twice winning all 3.
Against the Kings, the Knicks finished 112-99 shooting 44.9 from the field and only 22.9 at 3-pointers. RJ and Randle both hit 27 pts leading the Knicks to this victory. Crashing the board well gaining 55 rebounds to the Kings’ 41. Also creating great opportunities for turnovers (16) which ultimately gave them the edge.
The next matchup was the first game against the Bulls. This was a high-scoring match with the Knicks taking it 128-120. Randle led the team in print the match with 31 and Brunson followed with 30. RJ was not too far behind with 22 of his own but once again created turnovers and opportunities to overcome the duo of Lavine and Derozan.
The second matchup finished 114-91 with the Knicks sweeping the Bulls in this 2 games series. It was RJ’s time to shine with 27 points, with Quinton Grimes and Jalen Brunson adding 22 a piece. The Knicks are showing that they can compete, but can they keep pace?
They have inched their way to 6th place in the eastern conference but with only 29 games into the season, there is much more to go. Up next the Knicks will face the Pacers (Dec 18), Warriors (Dec 20), Raptors (Dec 21), and will finish with the Bulls again (Dec 23). Can we stay in the mix?
