In the time it took me to type that title, the dolphins had already scored. Quite literally, first play of the game, touchdown dolphins. So we get the ball, and our first play of the game, our quarterback broke his foot.
This is very unfortunate as that was our second string qb; our first broke his ankle in early season and won’t be back until more then likely next season. So along comes our third stringer Brock Purdy.
Surprisingly enough he played better then anyone could’ve asked for, with a completion rate of 25 out of 37 for a total of 210 yards. Only 1 interception which was arguably not on him.
We struggled a lot in the redzone like usual, with a total of 4 field goals which Robbie completed with no problems, him & CMC contributed to a lot of the 33 points the offense managed. Our defense was the real MVP though. Nick Bosa had Tua very flustered by the end of the game, causing him to throw 2 back to back interceptions, one of them we capitalized on.
The big question leaving the game is where do we go from here? Do we stick with Purdy? Do we hope someone falls into our lap? We picked up Josh Johnson right after but he’s without a doubt going to be used as a backup.
