Wild go 3-0 on the week

Nov 27 vs Arizona win 4-3

The Wild started the week off right with a 4-3 victory over the visiting Coyotes. Kirill continued his scoring streak, bringing it to a career-high point in 9 straight games. He had a goal and two assists. Fleury saved 20 out of 23 shots faced. Minnesota is 13-2-0 in its last 15 games against Arizona. Kaprizov has five goals and nine assists in his current scoring streak. With assists in eight straight games, Kaprizov tied the franchise record set by Jim Dowd from Feb. 27-March 17, 2002.

Dec 1 vs Edmonton win 5-3

The Wild started the week off strong with two victories, this time beating Edmonton 5-3. Fleury stopped 18 of 21 shots to propel the Wild. Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists to extend his career-best point streak to 10 games. Kaprizov has a goal in four straight games after scoring his 14th of the season. He also has nine straight games with an assist and eight goals and 11 assists in his last 13 games. The Wild’s defense played well, helping Minnesota outshoot Edmonton 30-21. In the first two periods, Edmonton only had 10 shots on goal. With his ninth save of the game, Fleury moved past Tony Esposito for the fourth-most saves in NHL history. Fleury now has 24,778 saves in his career. Up next in third place is Patrick Roy with 25,800. Martin Brodeur (28,928) and Roberto Luongo (28,409) are first and second, respectively.

Dec 3 vs Anaheim win 5-4 in a shootout

The Wild finished the week with a 5-4 victory over the Ducks. The Wild went 3-0 this week a much-needed 3-0. Gustavsson stopped 29 of 33 shots and 3 out of 4 in the shootout to help Minnesota to victory. Kaprizov’s third-period goal extended his point streak to a career-best 11 games. He has seven goals and 11 assists in that span, including five straight games with a goal. He did have his assist streak of nine games snapped. Matt Bold and Kaprizov scored in the shootout. The first two periods were not the best for the Wild but you know what they say, save the best for last.
