NC State started the week with a blowout win over William & Mary, 85-64. Casey Morsell continued his hot start to the season finishing with 23 points shooting 6-9 from 3. Terquavion Smith added 13 points 5 rebounds and 7 assists.
In their first ACC game of the year on Friday NC States offense did not show up and as a result, they lost to Pittsburgh 68-60. The Wolfpack had a hard time handling the way the Panthers were guarding the pick-and-roll by hedging their big men, making it tough for the Wolfpack guards to turn the corner and get downhill. As a team the Wolfpack shot 6-27 (22%) from 3, they were coming into the game shooting the best from deep in the ACC. Starters Jack Clark and Jarkel Joiner were a combined 0-20 from the field and 0-14 from 3.
Wolfpack is home against Coppin State on Tuesday, before heading to Miami on Saturday this upcoming week.
