Potential Upset of the Week
In a new series, I am going to look at all the games to be played in the NFL and look at which game will end in an upset by the line. So, this week let’s take a look at who will be upset:
Miami will defeat the 49ers (-4.0)
I believe the Miami offense will use their speed to outrun the 49ers’ defense. The Miami Dolphins are on a 5-game win streak and that streak will continue this weekend. Miami’s defense has played enough to win as of late and their offense has been clicking, putting up 30-plus points in the last 4 games. Tua has been playing well since he returned from his concussion.
The 49ers’ offense struggled to get going against the Saints last weekend, and while the 49ers’ defense is good Miami’s offense is better than the Saints’ offense. If the 49ers struggle to get going again this week look for Miami’s offense to take off and run away with the victory.
I by no means think this will be a blowout win for the Dolphins, I think it’ll be a close game. The offenses have averaged around the same number of points, with Miami having the edge of 25.6 to 22.6 for the 9ers. The defense is the big difference when it comes to points allowed, 15.7 for San Francisco to 23.3 for Miami. Outside of the Chiefs, the 49ers have had a soft schedule when it comes to defense.
