The Buccaneers suffer defeat in OT after holding a one touchdown lead for most of the second half. Final score was 23-17 Browns win in OT after both teams possessed the ball.
During this matchup, two key Bucs players sustain injuries which will most likely seem them miss some time. Antoine Winfeild Jr. is being evaluated for possible concussion (Bucswire), and Tristan Wirfs will miss time with an ankle injury (NFL.com). Brady statistically did will throwing for 246 yards on 43 attempts with 29 completetions, and two touchdowns to Chris Godwin (110 yards, 13 targets, 12 recptions), as well as Ko Kieft (5 yards, 1 target, 1 recption). Rachaad White added 64 yards, with Ke’Shawn White bolter 15 yards of his own from scrimmage with Leonard Fournette out from a hip injury.
The Bucs defense struggle to stop the run, and when they were caught chearing up to plug the gaps, Browns attacked the air. Amari Cooper gained 94 yards, with Nick Chubb relentlessly pounding the rock for 116 yards.
Although we lost giving us a record 5-6, we are still number one in the division with a 2-1 record. Next week (13) we face off against the 4-8 Saints which historically Brady has not done well against as a Buccaneer! Protection will be key in this next match-up, as we look to get back to .500.
