The offense wasn’t looking too hot, the magic we witnessed last week has dropped off quite a bit. Not really sure you could pinpoint the problem though, there was a lot of catchable passes that weren’t caught, there were a lot of open receivers that just weren’t throw too. We had a completely open CMC, and JG decided he wanted the triple covered Kittle to try and get the job done anyway, (he did not).
The Saints had our number when it came to the run game, we couldn’t get more then 2/3 yards, if we got anything.
Deebo ended up leaving with a “sore” hamstring, which shouldn’t have happened because he shouldn’t have played today. We got him for half a game and because of that we’ll lose him for 4, in which a lot of them his presence will be vital. We also lost Mitchell to a knee injury.
The game ended for us with a total of 96 rushing yards, Elijah Mitchell had 35 of those and CMC 32. And 222 receiving yards, Aiyuk getting 65 of those and Jennings getting 49. JG had a passing attempt of 26/37.
Our defense did what it always does, and we’re now #1 in the league involving all things defense. Hufanga and Warner continue working their butts off out there, coming together with a total of 16 tackles!
I didn’t like what I saw but I guess it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve seen.
