Wild split the week with 1 win and 1 loss

The Minnesota Wild had a light week and only played two games which helped get guys rest and get Marc-Andre Fleury back in the line-up. Let’s take a look at the two games they had this week.

11/23 vs Winnipeg 6-1 Wild win
The first period was dominated by the Wild, at one point they were up 14-2 in shots. They ended up scoring a goal to go up 1-0. They ended the first period 1-0. The Wild dominated the 2nd period but not as much as the first. They were able to put 2 more in the back of the net. The Jets were able to answer with a goal. It was 3-1 going into the third period. They added 3 more in the 3rd to end the game 6-1. Kirill the thrill had an amazing goal in the third. In a season that has been mostly down the Wild needed this win. Gustavsson played amazingly in the net and only allowed 1 goal. Foligno scored 2 goals in the win.

11/25 4-3 Wild lose
Fleury let in 2 goals, 1 that he should have saved. The Wild went into the second period down 2-1. Matt Murray for the Leafs made some great saves. Each team scored 1 goal in the 2nd period. The defense was a little sloppy in the 2nd which lead to the Leafs’ goal. Murray stopped a breakaway goal in the last minute of the period. Each scored a goal in the 3rd period as well, the game ended 4-3. I don’t know if Fleury is fully healed or if he just had a bad game. Just seemed like some of the goals were ones he would normally save. The Wild are now 9-9-2 on the season.
