Who would have thought at the start of the season that a late-season game against UMass would be a game that Texas A&M must win (mainly for reputation’s sake)… Thankfully the Aggies found a way to win and end the school’s longest losing streak since the 70s, despite losing FOUR fumbles on a cold and rainy day at Kyle Field.
It was more of the same for the Aggies offense, who struggled once again to move the ball. Granted, they were without star RB Devon Achane and leading WR Evan Stewart, but this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this offense struggle this season.
QB Conner Weigman only mustered 191 passing yards and a touchdown, while the Aggie running attack was the lone bright spot (totaling 213 yards on the ground).
The Aggies will end this forgettable season next Saturday night when they host the #6 LSU Tigers.
