Oklahoma State loses their 4th game of the season, after falling to Oklahoma 28-13.
Oklahoma’s offense came out firing and OSU had no answer. The Cowboys found themselves down 7-0 just 1:17 into the game, and then the 1st quarter kept getting worse. Falling an OSU punt, the Sooners drove 93 yards for another touchdown. OSU would throw a pick but then were able to force an OU punt, but OSU would throw another interception when they got the ball back after the punt. This INT resulted in a 4-yard drive for OU and a TD. The Sooners stormed to a 21-0 lead just 8:03 into the game. The Cowboys would punt 2 more times on the next 2 drives and after the second the Sooners found the end zone again. The Sooners ended up leading the Cowboys 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. Those 28 points were all OU needed to win and all they would score.
After a couple of punts by the Sooners, the Cowboys would finally get on the board with a Tanner Brown 24-yard field goal. That would be the only points scored in the 2nd quarter by either team, and they would go into the half with the Sooners leading 28-3.
The 2nd half started with 5 total punts and a turnover on downs before the Cowboys could score. Oklahoma State would finally find the end zone when Spencer Sanders found Quinton Stewart from 2 yards out with just over a minute left in the 3rd quarter.
The first play of the 4th quarter was a punt by the Sooners that gave Oklahoma State the ball back. Oklahoma State would drive 59 yards before stalling and having to kick a field goal. The next 3 drives ended in 3 punts. Then OSU would throw an INT, followed by both teams punting some more. Oklahoma State would turn it over on down on their final possession and OU was able to kill the last 16 seconds to get the Bedlam win by the score of 28-13.
