The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) faced off against the Seatle Seahawks (6-3) in Munich, Germany for an NFL first. The Bucs came out on top 21-16 getting the team to .500 on the season. Brady threw for 258 yds, on 22/29 passes, and one interception. Leonard Fournette also threw one interception on a single throw to which Brady was the recipient. Aside from the gimmicky play that resulted in the interception, and penalty on Brady for tripping, the Bucs had a solid outing.
The Bucs o-line gave up 0 sacks in this matchup, which allowed Brady to pass for 2 TDs and Fournette to rush for 1 TD. Seeming like all were working off the same sheet of music the Bucs gained 161 yds from scrimmage, with rookie Rachaad White for 105 yds on 22 attempts, Leonard Fournette 57 yds on 14 attempts, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn for 2 yds on 2 attempts. Some may see it as a mediocre attempt with just scoring 21 points, but for Bucs fanatics, fans, and Superbowl hopefuls this is a step in the right direction.
On the other side of the ball, the defense rallied around their Star LBs Devin White and Lavonte David for 34 tackles, 1 FF, and 3 sacks. Stud Seahawks rookie came into this game with 572 yds from scrimmage, but the Bucs defense would have none of that this game. They held him to 17 yds on 10 attempts and no TDs, while also not allowing Geno to break for many yards while scrambling as well. Geno did have success through the air with 23/33 for 275 yds, and two Tds to D.K. Metcalf (9 rec 71 yds) and Marquise Goodwin (2 rec 38yds).
Both teams go into their bye week and plan for what’s to come after some good rest. Bucs will face off against the Browns (3-6) and the Seahawks will meet up with the Raiders (2-7).
