After starting out hot, the Bucks hit a bit of a rough patch this past week. Dropping two games this week, falling to 10-2.
Game 1 Monday, November 7th

The Bucks came out hot, quickly taking the lead. They held close to a 10-point lead throughout the first quarter. It wasn’t until the second quarter that the lead started to dwindle. Then once the second half started, the Hawks took over the game. It seemed like for the Bucks, once they hit a shooting funk in the second quarter that they couldn’t rebound from. That was also compounded by sloppy fouls on a few Bucks players.
Game 2 Wednesday, November 9th

What a thriller, in double overtime no less! Not to mention a Giannis-less game on top of it too! A huge night for Carter, filling in and taking control as a veteran on the team. Not only a big not for him, but also for the rookie Beauchamp. Who ended the night with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals a solid stat line! It was an overall team effort with big numbers coming from Lopez and Allen as well.
Game 3 Friday, November 11th
Bucks 93 @ Spurs 111

Another loss for the Bucks, and without their star Giannis no less. Not that, that is a reason for them to lose. However when you add him, Middleton, Allen, and Connaughton it starts to make sense. The truth of it was, the Spurs came out fighting. After the first quarter, the Spurs pulled away and took the game.
To win one out of two games with a large amount of the main players out for the Bucks looks pretty good to me. Ideally, they would win all the games regardless of who is playing. However, they’re only human and a few losses should be expected. Overall the Bucks have looked great this year.
Next up the Bucks will host the 8-5 Hawks on Monday.
