The Pittsburgh Steelers(3-6) defeat the New Orleans Saints(3-7) 20-10. Next week, the Saints will host the Los Angeles Rams while the Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals.
1st Quarter
Following punts by both teams, the Steelers drive down the field and score a rushing touchdown on a George Pickens run from 1-yard out. Najee Harris runs for a 45-yard gain to close out the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
Steelers add a 33-yard field goal following the long Najee Harris run. Saints have a nice drive but only ends in a 44-yard field goal. With 19 seconds left, Andy Dalton finds Juwan Johnson for a 15-yard touchdown. 10-10 tied game at halftime.
3rd Quarter
Steelers kicker Matthew Wright misses a 39-yard field goal.
4th Quarter
Steelers kicker Matthew Wright makes a 33-yard field goal to give Pittsburgh the lead. Andy Dalton throws a pass that’s tipped and intercepted by Damontae Kazee. Kenny Pickett runs in a touchdown on a QB sneak to make it a 2-score game. Andy Dalton gets stuffed on 4th down and short on a QB sneak. Matthew Wright misses a 48-yard field goal and the Saints get the ball back. Andy Dalton throws another interception with this one to Levi Wallace.
Wow I miss Drew Brees. I’ll take old man Drew at this point. Unable to push the ball down the field or run the ball. Run defense was good at first but failed late. Way too many penalties. Sloppy game of football. We need some sort of reset soon.
