The Bolts were not able to overcome the 3-1 deficit they faced heading into the third period. The Oilers capitalized on the power play with a pair of goals, and the Bolts came up empty-handed on 5 PP chances. Brayden Point handed out two Assists to Hagel and Killorn.

The Capitals took the Bolts for a walk in this game. Managing to kill the power play, G Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 19-24. The Lightning were shut down completely until the 3rd period when D Nick Perbix netted his 2nd goal of the year.
