What an ugly afternoon in East Rutherford for Josh Allen & the Bills. The Bills came into the game as 10.5-point favorites and boy they looked anything but favorable all game. The Bills took the opening kickoff into the red zone but Josh would throw an UGLY interception (underthrow to Dawson Knox). The Bills defense wasn’t much better, as for the second straight week they had a difficult time stopping the run and getting off the field on third downs. Much to the credit to Zach Wilson, he played a very effective and efficient game.
Buffalo led for most of the game actually, and with the Jets driving in Bills territory Von Miller came up with a huge strip-sack and gave Buffalo the ball back. But just 2 plays later, Josh threw another UGLY interception setting up the Jets with great field position.
They would end up scoring a TD to give them a 17-14 lead.
Buffalo would once again be shut down in the 2nd half of a game and they only could muster a lousy field goal.
The game was 17-17 until the Jets would add on the go-ahead field goal with just under 2 minutes remaining in the game.
The Bills had plenty of time to put together a drive but drops and penalties shut down any hopes of a comeback.
Buffalo now drops to 0-2 in division play and will look to regroup next week as they welcome the surprising 7-1 Minnesota Vikings to Orchard Park.
