Bills off to best start in 29 years as they take down Green Bay on Sunday Night Football

As HC Dennis Green famously said… “They are who we thought they were!” The Bills are good, and not just good but darn near unstoppable most times… Seems like the only time they get stopped on offense anymore is thanks to a mistake they made (they’ve only punted the ball 12 times all season).
Last night they were 10.5-point home favorites against Aaron Rodgers (the biggest underdog spread of his career) and the first half of the game looked like they were going to coast to an easy win. Buffalo went 3-and-out on their opening possession (a rarity for them this season) but after that would score on their next 5 possessions (TD, TD, TD, FG, FG).
It was 24-7 at halftime and had all the makings of being a blowout, but to the Packers credit they didn’t roll over and just accept defeat. It was pretty evident early on that Green Bay would be able to run the football as Buffalo was sticking with their 2 high safety coverage all game long to try and limit the big “Aaron Rodgers freak play”. Aaron Jones ended the game with 143 yards on the ground (Green Bay totaled 208 total rushing yards as a team).
The Packers held Buffalo to just 3 points in the second half (largely in part to (2) dumb Josh Allen INTs). They pulled within 10-points and with 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter attempted a 55-yard field goal to try and bring the lead down to just a single TD, but Mason Crosby’s attempt would fall short and the Bills would be able to just kneel out the clock and escape with a 27-17 win.
The 6-1 start for Buffalo is their best start to a season since the 1993 season and they will look to keep the momentum rolling as they head to the Meadowlands next Sunday to take on the NEW JERSEY Jets.
My Game Ball for Buffalo goes to Stefon Diggs, who hauled in 6 targets for 108 yards and a TD.
