The Leafs lose all 3 games in disappointing week 3

The Toronto Maple Leafs played 3 games this week and lost all 3. The Leafs fall to 4-4-1 in the young season. Here are the individual game results:

10/24

TOR 1 VGK 3

The leafs never really got anything going in this one, with William Nylander’s 4th goal of the season being the only offence they could muster. The game was actually tied 1-1 until the 3rd period when Vegas put 2 goals on the board to take down the Leafs. Former Leaf Phil Kessel also tied the all-time consecutive game streak in this game.

10/27

TOR 3 SJS 4 F/OT

Toronto and San Jose traded goals in the 1st before the Sharks broke the tie in the 2nd with 2 goals to finish the 2nd period with a 3-2 lead. Matthews (2) would later tie the game in the 3rd but the Sharks would prevail in over time.

10/29

TOR 2 LAK 4

Toronto would suffer another disappointing loss in this one. They again jumped out to a 1-0 lead before allowing multiple goals in the 2nd period (3) to fall into a whole they couldn’t climb out of. Tavares (4) and Engvall (1) would score the only goals for Toronto.

The Leafs start this week off tonight with a game in Anaheim against the Ducks.
